One important to remember is that spending money on your family in gifts or other things will be counted as charity by Allah.
Abu Mas’ood Ansari (RA), said, “A Muslim person who spends on his family with the intention of acquiring rewards, then this will be recorded as sadaqah on his behalf and Allah will reward him accordingly.” [Abu Dawood]
from other hadith we also know that charity does not decrease you in wealth.
The Prophet (saw) said: (Giving) Charity does not in any way decrease wealth. Allah increases the ’Izzah (respect) of a servant who forgives (others). And the one who shows humility, Allah will elevate him in the estimation (of the people). (Muslim)
So the benefits of spending on your family include their happiness in the dunya and an improvement in your relationship with them as well as reward in the hereafter!
