5 Intimacy Revival Tactics – Acts of Service (Part 4 of 5)

4.    ACTS OF SERVICE

Most Muslim women tend to do acts of service at home out of a sense of obligation, but the amazing thing is it might be your spouse’s primary language of love. Ironing his shirts, cooking him a delicious meal, keeping the home clean and tidy, looking after and raising the children could be speaking your husband’s love language. Bear in mind, if you are expecting appreciation for these things, then acts of service might actually not be his language of love, but could be yours. Saying things like “I will do that for you…” or “What else can I do for you?” or “I can…” express this language.

If your husband has a to-do list e.g. ironing his own shirts or taking the garbage out, ticking items of his to-do list will not go unnoticed. You can make him feel extra special by cooking him a surprise dinner with his favourite foods, and setting up a nice ambience such as lighting some candles on the dinner table. Follow it up with his favourite dessert and he will be on cloud 9.

Dressing up in a pretty dress and dolling yourself up before he comes home from work can go a long way to making your husband feel loved. Initiating bedroom play by dressing up in his favourite lingerie and wearing his favourite perfume will make him feel wanted, needed and loved.

Very well Written Piece. Jazakillah Khairun !! I totally agree with that service to husband is done as an obligation in most cases which is fair enough coz this is how it is ordered in the Deen as well…But having said, along with sense of obligation and mechanical kind of obedience there has to be intimate side of submissiveness as well…Like a feminine and humble way of serving that would make him more manly and dominant..It automatically enhances intimacy.

I will love to contribute my insight on these topics on this blog..Please let me know how I can do it…Thanks..Aslamualaikum wrwb.
